Two Hundred and Five Weeks Left to Go

We’re almost 3 weeks into Trump's term. It’s Black History Month. And the Resistance is coming back to life (maybe). What does all of that mean for your fertility journey?

This past month has been nothing short of hectic and chaotic. As Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s nomination to lead the Department of Health and Human Services progresses through the Senate, concerns resurface about how the Trump administration will reshape healthcare policies. With MAGA-style policies being implemented—described by some as “shock and awe” and by others as “chaos and confusion”—I found myself questioning the implications for our reproductive health. To gain clarity, I reached out to Dorianne Mason, the Director of Health Equity, Reproductive Rights and Health at the National Women’s Law Center, to discuss how these recent initiatives could affect people of color seeking fertility treatment nationwide. Unfortunately, the news isn’t encouraging.
